Advocacy
Training in advocacy is a commitment that Naviator Consulting is
proud to have as a resource for individuals or companies whose
services are directly affected by the direction that is taken by
the state or federal level.
Being
survivors of breast, ovarian and other cancers, medical
professional’s gives us the advantage of having worked with
insurance companies, drug companies, navigated the healthcare
system for our own personal experiences.
We bring
an experienced person to the meetings that ensure
accountability, step towards a cure, quality of life and
utilization of resources in an efficient manner.

Community Relations:
Naviator Consulting team members volunteer approximately 40
hours per month on various committees, attending health fairs,
organizing health forum updates on new treatments in breast
health/breast cancer and listening to the requests by people we
meet. One of the
foci of Naviator Consulting is to always maintain a connection
with the community, gather information and improve the lives of
the people that need help.

Health System Navigation:
Finding a Medical home can be a daunting task especially if you
have recently been given a life threatening diagnosis.
Naviator Consultant’s will take a history of events, find out
what your insurance status is, what resources you have
available, what type of employment and what problems you have
encountered.
From
the first meeting or phone call our team will guide you through
the maze we call healthcare (physicians, tests, clinical trials,
treatment options, rights as a patient, when to submit forms,
who to contact, etc) to make sure your needs are met and the
outcome is satisfactory.
A vast
inventory of local, state and federal resources is collaborative
gathering of our experience and contacts to provide everyone
with the help they may need short or long term. |

Healthcare Connections:
Naviator Consulting’s vision is to have every resource for South
Texas available in one spot for easy use by other organizations,
companies and especially for our clients as their own personal
resource.
In having
all the different resources (support groups, foundations,
centers etc) utilize our new service, we can assist everyone in
meeting their needs for non-profit to profit.

Health Care Updates:
When the FDA announces new medications, you can call or log into
Naviator Consulting’s web site to find out if any of these
changes will affect you.
Local,
state or federal changes in healthcare policies will be posted
as they happen so that if you feel that these changes are not a
way to improve healthcare, you can let our advocates know so
Naviator Consulting can let the appropriate officials know that
their voters are not in favor of their decisions. |
